Love my new Invicta 6244, January 27, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Invicta Men's 6244 Reserve Collection 18k Gold-Plated Stainless Steel Watch (Watch) I just bought this new watch through Amazon, and I love it.
I looked at a lot of Invicta watches - and drooled over many of them - but when I saw this blue mother-of-pearl face against the look of 18k gold plating, I knew this was the watch for me. I also like the contrast of the large black numerals against the light blue face, as opposed to the Model 6243, which is the same watch, except it has a black m-o-p face with white numerals. I have to wear glasses to see the time on smaller watches, but this makes it very easy to tell time and even the date is readable for me without glasses.
Now a few things you should know if you are considering this watch, and especially if this is your first Invicta and/or your first "large face" style watch:
1) This IS a large watch. The face is almost 2 inches across, and its VERY thick (just over 1/2") from the top of the crystal to the bottom that sits on your wrist.
